PetzSo

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: Jan 01, 2026

1. Introduction and Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how PetzSo (“PetzSo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal data when individuals use the PetzSo user application, the PetzSo Partner application, PetzSo websites, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

This Policy applies to pet parents and other Platform users, business owners, venue operators, service providers, product businesses, event organizers, authorized business representatives, and visitors to our websites.

PetzSo processes personal data in accordance with applicable law, including Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (“PDPA”).

2. Data Controller and Contact

PetzSo acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the Platform, except where another party independently determines how and why data is processed.

For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact: support@petzso.com

3. Personal Data We Collect

A. User Account Data

  • Name.
  • Phone number used for login, verification, security, and account recovery.
  • Account identifiers and verification status generated by the Platform.

B. Pet Profile Data

Where users create pet profiles, we may process pet names, species, breed, age, gender, photos, profile descriptions, and other information voluntarily added by the user. Pet information is not normally personal data by itself, but it may become linked to the user’s account.

C. User Content and Interactions

Where enabled, we may process content and actions submitted through the Platform, including photos, videos, reviews, ratings, comments, check-ins, saved listings, reports, support messages, and similar activity. Publicly submitted content may be visible to other users.

D. Location Data

If a user grants device permission, the Platform may use precise or approximate location to show nearby businesses, pet-friendly places, services, products, or events. Location access may be disabled through device settings. PetzSo does not intentionally collect continuous background location unless a specific feature clearly requires it and the user has granted the necessary permission.

E. Partner and Business Account Data

  • Name and phone number of the business owner or authorized representative.
  • Account authentication, verification, and authorization information.
  • Business name, category, description, contact information, address, service area, and map coordinates.
  • Operating hours, pet policies, services, products, prices, availability, images, logos, and other listing information.
  • Licences, permits, proof of ownership, or identity documents where reasonably required for verification, safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
  • Communications, complaints, reports, moderation history, and support records.

Business listing information intended for publication may be displayed publicly in the PetzSo app, websites, search pages, maps, or promotional materials.

F. Technical and Security Data

We and our essential service providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to operate and secure the Platform, such as app version, device or operating-system type, IP address, timestamps, authentication events, error logs, crash information, security events, and server logs. We do not use this information to create advertising profiles.

G. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

  • Payment card or bank-account details for marketplace transactions in Thailand.
  • Sensitive personal data such as religion, political opinions, health records, biometric identifiers, or sexual orientation, unless required by law or voluntarily included by a user in content contrary to our instructions.
  • Personal human images in business listings, except limited incidental appearances permitted under the Business Terms.
  • Personal data for sale to advertisers or data brokers.

4. How We Collect Personal Data

We collect personal data:

  • Directly from users and businesses when they create accounts, profiles, listings, reviews, or support requests.
  • Automatically when the Platform is used, to the limited extent necessary for authentication, security, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • From device permissions, such as location access, where the user chooses to grant permission.
  • From publicly available sources, business websites, social pages, directories, or other lawful sources when creating or verifying public business listings.
  • From other users, businesses, rights holders, or authorities who submit reports, complaints, or verification information.

5. Purposes of Processing

We may process personal data to:

  • Create, authenticate, secure, and administer user and Partner accounts.
  • Verify phone numbers, ownership, authority, and business legitimacy.
  • Create, publish, manage, rank, verify, correct, merge, moderate, or remove business listings.
  • Show nearby businesses, venues, services, products, and events.
  • Enable users to contact businesses or use available Platform features.
  • Operate pet profiles, reviews, ratings, check-ins, reports, and user-submitted content where enabled.
  • Provide customer support and respond to privacy, safety, ownership, or legal requests.
  • Prevent fraud, impersonation, fake listings, prohibited animal sales, breeding promotion, abuse, security threats, and violations of our Terms.
  • Investigate complaints, preserve evidence, enforce Platform rules, and protect users, animals, businesses, PetzSo, and the public.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, test, and improve the Platform.
  • Comply with legal duties, court orders, regulatory requests, and lawful government demands.
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

6. Legal Bases Under Thailand’s PDPA

Depending on the circumstances, PetzSo may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity: to provide accounts, listings, and Platform functions requested by users or businesses.
  • Consent: for optional device permissions or processing that legally requires consent.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, improve, moderate, and protect the Platform, prevent fraud, maintain accurate listings, and defend legal rights, balanced against the rights of individuals.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law or binding requests.
  • Vital interests: where processing is reasonably necessary to protect life, health, or safety.
  • Public task or other lawful basis: where specifically permitted by applicable law.

Where consent is the legal basis, consent may be withdrawn at any time, without affecting processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.

7. Public Information

Business profiles, business names, business contact information, addresses, map locations, opening hours, pet policies, services, products, photos, logos, ratings, and other listing content may be made public. Reviews, ratings, check-ins, usernames, pet profiles, and user content may also be public where the relevant feature is designed for public display.

Public information may be viewed, copied, indexed, cached, or shared by third parties outside PetzSo’s control. Users and businesses should not publish confidential, sensitive, or unnecessary personal data.

8. How We Disclose Personal Data

A. Essential Service Providers

We may use service providers for authentication, OTP delivery, cloud hosting, storage, content delivery, security, backups, technical support, email, error monitoring, and similar operational services. They may process personal data only as needed to provide those services and subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.

B. Users and Businesses

We may share information necessary to enable a user-requested interaction with a business, or to enable a business to respond to a user. Public listing and public-content information is visible to Platform users and website visitors.

C. Safety, Rights, and Legal Compliance

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, impersonation, animal sales, breeding promotion, abuse, threats, intellectual-property claims, privacy complaints, security incidents, or other violations; protect legal rights or safety; comply with law; or respond to a valid request from a court, regulator, law-enforcement authority, or other competent body.

D. Corporate or Platform Transfer

Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring, acquisition, sale, assignment, or transfer of all or part of the Platform, subject to applicable law and reasonable safeguards.

E. No Sale or Third-Party Advertising Use

PetzSo does not sell personal data and does not disclose personal data to third parties for their independent advertising or data-broker purposes.

9. Business Responsibility for User Data

A business that receives personal data from a user through PetzSo is independently responsible for its own use of that information. Businesses must use it only for the relevant enquiry, requested service, safety, lawful record keeping, or another lawful purpose, and must comply with the PDPA and their own privacy duties.

Businesses must not sell, scrape, publish, spam, enrich, profile, or use user information for unrelated marketing without a lawful basis and any consent required by law. PetzSo is not responsible for a business’s independent privacy practices.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

PetzSo websites may use essential cookies or similar technologies necessary for security, session management, preferences, and basic functionality. We do not currently use cross-site behavioural advertising trackers.

If non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, PetzSo will provide additional notice and request consent where required by law.

11. International Transfers and Hosting

PetzSo may use cloud infrastructure and service providers located outside Thailand. As a result, personal data may be stored or processed in other countries, including countries where our hosting, authentication, storage, support, or security providers operate.

Where required by the PDPA, PetzSo will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, which may include contractual protections, vendor security obligations, transfer arrangements recognized by law, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

12. Data Retention

PetzSo retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including Platform operation, account administration, security, moderation, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement.

  • Account data is generally retained while the account remains active.
  • Public business listing information may remain available after Partner account closure if obtained from lawful public sources, user submissions, or another lawful basis.
  • Deleted content or accounts may remain temporarily in backups, caches, security logs, or disaster-recovery systems.
  • Fraud, moderation, complaint, ban, ownership, and legal records may be retained where reasonably necessary to prevent repeat abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with law.
  • Information subject to a legal hold, investigation, or valid authority request may be retained until the matter is resolved.

When personal data is no longer required, PetzSo will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to technical and legal limitations.

13. Security

PetzSo uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, misuse, or destruction. These may include access controls, authentication, secure infrastructure, logging, backups, restricted personnel access, and vendor safeguards.

No system is completely secure. Users and businesses are responsible for protecting their devices, login credentials, and verification codes and for notifying PetzSo promptly of suspected unauthorized access.

14. Personal Data Breaches

If PetzSo becomes aware of a personal data breach, we will assess the incident and take reasonable containment, investigation, remediation, documentation, and notification steps as required by applicable law.

Businesses must promptly notify PetzSo of any actual or suspected unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, or misuse involving personal data received through the Platform.

15. Your Rights Under Thailand’s PDPA

Subject to applicable conditions, exceptions, identity verification, and legal limitations, an individual may have the right to:

  • Request access to and a copy of personal data.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Request deletion, destruction, or anonymization of personal data.
  • Request restriction or suspension of certain processing.
  • Object to certain processing.
  • Request data portability where legally applicable.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Submit a complaint to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee or another competent authority.

Requests may be submitted to support@petzso.com. PetzSo may request information necessary to verify identity, authority, account ownership, and the scope of the request.

PetzSo may refuse, limit, or defer a request where permitted by law, including where information must be retained for legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, freedom of expression, establishment or defence of legal claims, protection of another person’s rights, or another lawful reason.

16. Account Deletion and Listing Removal

Users may request account deletion through available in-app controls or by contacting support@petzso.com. Account deletion does not necessarily remove content already shared by others, information required for legal or security purposes, or data retained temporarily in backups.

Closing a Partner account does not automatically require PetzSo to delete a factual public business listing. A business may request correction, ownership review, or removal, but PetzSo may retain or republish public business information where it has a lawful basis to do so.

17. Children’s Privacy

PetzSo is not intended for children. User accounts are intended for individuals aged 18 or older, and Partner accounts are intended for persons legally capable of acting for a business. We do not knowingly request personal data directly from children.

If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact support@petzso.com. PetzSo may remove the information and restrict the related account after appropriate review.

18. Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform may link to maps, messaging applications, websites, social platforms, app stores, or other third-party services. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies and terms. PetzSo does not control and is not responsible for their independent privacy practices.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

PetzSo may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, operational, security, technology, or Platform changes. We will publish the updated version and an additional notice will be provided where required by law.

20. Contact and Complaints
